Chelsea Brown: Painting/Drawing

July 27, 2011 By Wendy Campbell

San Francisco based artist Chelsea Brown is inspired by supernatural themes influenced by myths, legends, spirits, cosmology and rituals.  She is amazed by Native American spiritual culture and much of the research that informs her work, begins there. Of this influence, Brown says: “I find their culture fascinating…. Nature is revered as a life giver — the Native Americans recognized their ultimate dependence upon it.”
