Eduardo Flores: Drawing/Painting

March 27, 2010 By Wendy Campbell

Eduardo Flores (aka Bayo) was born in Mexico City and moved to Austin, Texas four years ago to work in advertising.

“By using acrylics or graphite or oil paintings, my work depicts mostly cheerless and melancholic worlds, where the main character is the mind as the center of mental conflicts. sometimes euphoric, sometimes psychotic, my characters sometimes tend to avoid frontal sight, denying the exposition of their own fragility and looking for words with the eyes turned back into the darkness of the mind. All of this in order to express different emotions and pursuing to cause the deepest anxiety.”
