“Alexandros Vasmoulakis was born in 1980 and has been painting from an early age. He studied fine art at university and has honed a highly distinctive style that is prevalent throughout his work. He is based in Athens but has recently spent a year or so in Paris soaking up the culture that that city has to offer.
But it is in Athens where his work is most visible. With his natural instinct for scale & composition he has produced many stunning pieces on doors, telephone boxes, hoardings and on the flanks of buildings up to 10 stories tall generally making his home city a more attractive place to live.
Alexandros work is predominantly character based and these creations explore the core values of human nature such as love, desire, seduction and hate. His work is very much driven by his state of mind and will reflect the mood of any given day. He uses mixed media including collage, paint, photography & digital to convey the relationships between these emotions.” (from Nosco Gallery)
