Yuliya: Painting/Drawing

June 19, 2011 By Wendy Campbell

Born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, artist Yuliya now lives and works in Ontario, Canada. Yuliya graduated with honours from Kiev National Art College as well as Kieve National Institute of Applied Art and Design.

Yuliya creates both traditional and digital art. Her “Linear Art” is created with acrylic paints, ink, gold and other precious metal leafing, Swarovski crystal inlay, and paper. The uniqueness of her drawing style is that she never uses pencil or does any preliminary sketching.  “I take paper and ink pen and start from a dot, then lines and images start developing on their own.”
